Hanoi - Memorial House (87 Pho Ma May, Old Quarter)
Restored in 1999 with the help of the city of Toulouse, France,
this traditional Chinese-style houseprovides a glimpse into how
local merchants lived in the Old Quarter. This house
was built at the endof the 19th century.
Only one family lived here from then until 1954.
Between 1954 to 1999,five families settled down here.
This house is presently on the "Preservation and renovation
of Hanoi ancient quarter" program with the cooperation of the
Hanoi People's Committee and the City of Toulouse.
