We left Tea Trails at 10 AM, which was checkout time. It took about 4.5 hours of driving down mostly switchbacks until we go to Negombo. We debated going to Colombo to visit with Mohammed, a friend Kathie's made through Fodor's, but Aslam convinced us that the roads were so slow travelling and we'd already spent so much time in the car, we decided to just hang out in Negombo until we needed to go to the airport for our flight at 1:35 AM.

These pictures were taken from The Beach Resort. I spent a little time walking on the beach, but it was mostly an exercise in saying no to vendors trying to sell my stuff, which is typical at beach resorts just about everywhere in the world. The sunset was beautiful, we had a lovely dinner at Black Coral and then went to the airport to head back to Bangkok. We had experienced so much in such a short time, it felt good to have some quiet time to reminisce before leaving. We both know we'll be coming back one day.
