Impressions of Burma (Myanmar)

People in Yangon - guarded until you smile, they smile back. I especially remember a man with a very stern face. When I smiled to him his face became transformed into the most beautiful spirit, I will most likely never forget it. Maybe I could get this kind of response in the US?? Maybe..

People in Inle Lake & Bagan - Beautifully open people, I hope this doesn't change. Almost without exception, the children smiled and waved to us as we passed. Some of the adults did, too. If we smiled and waved first we were nearly always rewarded with same.

Education - amazing... what to say. Never take education for granted. It's a great gift and an even greater gift that we can reap any benefits from it. Also never take email for granted again.
